So if I'm gonna have a spellcaster class that has spells, I'm gonna need a spell list. Which I wanted to avoid, once upon a time, but I guess I'm just gonna go for it now. I dunno.

Possible Familiars
Form: Two-Faced Cat
Spells: Seal a door for [Soul Points] hours (can be opened on a TN 15 STR check). Open a locked door for [Soul Points] minutes (it's still locked afterwards).
Form: Cobra
Spells: [Soul Points] creatures fall asleep (Mind check TN 15 to avoid). A creature gains [Soul Points] points of Drunkenness (they critically fumble if they roll less than or equal to their Drunkenness on a check, or if a player rolls greater than or equal to 20-Drunkenness on an opposed check, Drunkenness clears after a night's sleep).
Form: Dark Void Inside a Tattered Umbrella
Spells: Darken shadows around a creature for [Soul Points] minutes, giving them +4 STEALTH. Create a 5' radius dark sphere around a creature or object (anything within the sphere can see out); the sphere lasts [Soul Points] minutes or until it has been hit by a hard force [Soul Points] times (it has no DEFENSE and is always hit by attacks).
Form: Faceless Monkey
Spells: Deal [Soul Points]d8 damage to any target. [Soul Points] targets can run across water for 5 minutes (if they try to stand still on the water, they sink).
Form: White Ball of Fuzz
Spells: [Soul Points] creatures are not harmed by falling for 1 minute. Speak a message 30 seconds or shorter, and a creature ten times [Soul Points] miles away hears it.
Form: Wooden Spider
Spells: Animate a human-shaped object (statue, puppet, corpse, etc.) for [Soul Points] minutes (it cannot attack, but the spirit can speak through it). Give a creature a [Soul Points] penalty to all physical checks for three rounds.
Form: Dragon
Spells: Cause heavy rain in a 20' radius for [Soul Points] hours (even indoors). [Soul Points] creatures can fly for 1 hour.
